New entry, some question

Welcome to all.

I've hit this project looking for a CUPS page accounting system; i was
in the past tempted by pykota, but really the quota system was overkill
for me, i need only to have (a decent aproximation of) the number of
printed pages.

I know little perl, mysql and php so was easy to understand how jasmine
works. Simple and effective. Good.

I've two question.

1) probably in 2006 color printing was marginal, but now not; looking
at pkpgcounter, using simply '--colorspace=gc' it is easy to get pages
that are BW or color, and seems to me easy to extend jasmine backed and
mysql schema to count color and bw pages.
But... someone can help me for the web interface?

2) the web interface expose too much info, so for the provacy of user i
want to protect the interface; i can use directly the LDAP
authetication of apache, but i've seen the auth module in the
web interface, but no reference on how to use them.
